In addition to this patient's breathing being very "tight," she was unhappy with the bump on her nose. Most importantly, however, she wanted to lift her long, drooping tip. Using preservation rhinoplasty techniques to minimize the amount of dissection that was necessary and thus the amount of swelling and bruising the patient experienced, Dr. Cross cleared her airway so that she could breathe better, reduced the bump on her nose, and lifted and deprojected her tip. She is one month from her surgery and ready for college with a nose that now fits the rest of her facial features.
