Samantha Mendez, RN, BSN
CLINICAL NURSE SPECIALIST
Samantha Mendez is one of our in-house surgical nurses. She provides both preoperative and postoperative care for our patients. Samantha is a BSN and an RN with two earned bachelor degrees: a Communication degree from the University of Southern California and a Nursing degree from Duquesne University.
Prior to joining the team at Cross Medical Group, Samantha gained experience working on various inpatient surgical units. Her experience in the hospital allowed her to gain a valuable set of clinical skills specialized toward surgical patients. Samantha understands that the surgical journey, while exciting, can at times seem overwhelming. She always strives to guide patients through the surgical process in a way that makes it as smooth and stress-free as possible. She believes that comprehensive patient education prior to and frequent communication after surgery can help to achieve this. Samantha wants all of her patients, current and future, to know that she is here for them at all times. She is always happy to answer any patient questions or concerns. She genuinely enjoys getting to know each and every patient and loves watching them progress through their surgical journey.
