Rhinoplasty - Case 12

Worth the wait! She is only 10 days out in the after picture, but this patient had desired a correction to the length and droop of her nose for years. She'll now finally have a nose that balances and compliments the rest of her beautiful features. While many rhinoplasty procedures can be performed "closed", this is an example of a rhinoplasty that needed an "open" approach. I utilized a small incision hidden under the columella (the part of the nose that rises up from the center of the lip). The open approach allowed excess skin to be removed after the length and droop of the nose were corrected. While some doctors claim that closed rhinoplasties heal more quickly, this patient is a good demonstration of the fact that both procedures, when performed with precision, will heal very rapidly in most patients.
