Facelift - Case 2

I am lucky enough to have gotten to know this patient and her husband very well over the years.  Even though she lives in the south, we have followed her aging until together we felt that it was time to reverse some of her age-related changes.  To address the unique features of her anatomy, I used an extended deep plane face and neck lift, as well as an upper eyelid lift.  Important in her case, to narrow her lower face slightly and to help reduce her jowling, I removed excessive buccal (cheek) fat through my facelift approach.  No incision was needed on the inside of her mouth, as is usually the case when reducing buccal fat pads.  One of the more subtle but meaningful elements of her rejuvenation is the elevation of her cheeks from a sagging to a more lifted position, as well as a reduction in the darkness around her lower eyes that was achieved through fat grafting into the volume-depleted lower eyed region and a chemical peel of her lower eyelids.  Both of these are seen best on the side and quarter views.  This patient's facial features now match her very young-at-heart personality.
