As a neuromodulator, BOTOX® works by inhibiting the muscle activity that causes dynamic wrinkles to form. The FDA cleared this prescription injectable as a nonsurgical treatment to address forehead lines, frown lines (glabellar lines), and crow's feet (lateral canthal lines).
Dysport® and Xeomin®
Also neuromodulators, Dysport® and Xeomin® are FDA cleared for treating frown lines. Nurse injectors personalize every nonsurgical treatment to ensure results that are suited to the patient's unique face and goals.
Juvederm® is the name for a hyaluronic acid-based family of fillers that add volume to address signs of facial aging. Voluma® fills out cheeks that have flattened and sagged over time, Juvederm® XC and Vollure™ smooth parentheses lines and other moderate to severe folds and wrinkles, and Volbella® and Ultra XC enhance the lips and correct "lipstick lines."
Another line of hyaluronic acid-based fillers, Restylane® includes its flagship injectable to smooth facial lines and enhance the lips, as well as Lyft to add cheek volume and give the back of the hands a more youthful look, Refyne to smooth out marionette and other lines, Defyne for deeper nasolabial folds, and Kysse to enhance the lips and reduce wrinkles around the mouth
Other Dermal Fillers
To ensure that each patient gets customized results, Cross Medical Group also offers more dermal fillers: hyaluronic acid-based Belotero Balance® to correct smile lines, chin wrinkles, and more; collagen-stimulating Radiesse® to address age-related volume loss on the lower face and hands; and collagen-building Sculptra® Aesthetic to smooth out marionette lines, nasolabial folds, and other wrinkles.
Using a form of deoxycholic acid as its active ingredient, Kybella® damages fat cells, prompting them to be broken down by natural body processes. This nonsurgical treatment is FDA cleared specifically for reducing a double chin, providing gradual results.
Lasers, Lights, and Energy Treatments
Laser Hair Reduction
Using the power of light, the Cross Medical Group team can clear areas on the face and body of unwanted hair. Laser hair reduction treatments directly target follicles with energy, preventing them from properly growing hair long-term after a session. This nonsurgical treatment is popular with anyone tired of shaving, waxing, plucking, and other time-intensive hair-removal methods.
IPL and Photorejuvenation
Intense pulsed light (IPL) is an ideal nonsurgical treatment for photorejuvenation, which improves the look of the skin by targeting the effects of sun damage with energy from a broad spectrum. Patients choose this for reducing the appearance of fine lines, sun spots, spider veins, and more.
RF Skin Treatment
Radiofrequency energy can be used to stimulate collagen production and other vital processes in the skin, leading to a tightening effect and overall smoother, more youthful look.
Ideal for lifting and tightening loose, lax skin, Ultherapy® uses ultrasound energy to encourage cells in the skin to produce more collagen and elastin. The FDA-cleared nonsurgical treatment can be applied to the neck, chin, brow, and upper chest—a region known as the décolletage.
Laser Skin Resurfacing
Laser skin resurfacing works in the much the same way as a peel: removing dead skin cells that clog the surface and give it a dull appearance. The light energy also promotes collagen for continued rejuvenation and a firmer, more radiant look.
At Cross Medical Group, our aestheticians know that some patients especially benefit from more than one nonsurgical treatment. Combination procedures pair various energy-based approaches together to generate results more dramatic than a single treatment could provide on its own.
MEET DR. KEVIN J. CROSS
Dr. Cross is a board-certified plastic surgeon. His philosophy is to develop an individualized treatment plan for each of his patients while using his breadth of experience to ensure that his patients receive long-lasting, natural appearing results that reach their aesthetic goals.
Fat Reduction and Skin Tightening
Nonsurgical body contouring with SculpSure® focuses laser energy on unwanted fat in the belly area, as well as the, flanks, back, and thighs. The heat generated during the nonsurgical treatment session damages fat cells, which are flushed out by the body over time.
Pellevé skin tightening treatments deploy radiofrequency energy to address moderately loose lower facial skin, as well as fine lines near the eyes. The device heats the skin in the targeted area to encourage regeneration, which happens gradually.
The ultrasound technology behind each Ultherapy® session works to stimulate collagen and elastin production, boosting the levels of both vital molecules in the skin. The result of this nonsurgical treatment is tighter, firmer skin and sleeker contours.
Using a technique known as "subcision," Cellfina® is a nonsurgical treatment that releases connective bands pulling down on the skin. Without this sub-surface tension, the surface appears smoother instead of dimpled with cellulite.
With several chemical peels to choose from, an aesthetician can provide a customized result based on each patient's unique skin condition and cosmetic goal. These nonsurgical treatments make use of a mixture of acids to exfoliate the face, reducing the appearance of skin lines, sun damage, large pores, and more.
Dead skin cells on the surface can give the face a dry, dull look. Dermaplaning involves using a special tool to gently scrape away these cells, revealing the younger, healthy cells beneath and giving the skin a brighter and smoother appearance.
Laser Skin Resurfacing
Cross Medical Group offers multiple laser skin resurfacing options, each of which uses light energy to "peel" away the outermost layer of skin. This action encourages the development of a healthy, youthful-looking layer more abundant in collagen and with improved texture and tone.
Microneedling is a nonsurgical treatment that takes advantage of the skin's ability to heal itself when wounded. With a handheld device, and aesthetician will make numerous incredibly tiny punctures in the skin, each one shaped like a column. To repair these miniscule wounds, surrounding cells will begin to produce more collagen and elastin, which will serve to rejuvenate the overall face.
Facial Skincare Treatments
By combining multiple nonsurgical treatments, the Cross Medical Group team can achieve beautiful results not possible from a single procedure. Patients particularly enjoy the effects of an exfoliating Trifecta treatment and the popular "Glow-n-Go," which blends the power of multiple facial skincare treatments into a single session.
