Facelift - Case 4

This patient came to Dr. Cross with the goal of getting a more chiseled and well-defined jawline and neck. He wanted his end result to look like he had never had surgery, with very little change other than to the jowls and neck. This post-op picture is only 6 weeks after his surgery because this patient traveled to us from out of town and this was his last scheduled in-person office visit.

One important point to highlight is the need to reposition or “tuck” the submandibular gland (highlighted in the first slide) back up under the jawline where it belongs. If this gland is not addressed properly, any procedure to improve jawline definition will never be as corrective.

The mild redness and irritation in the neck is from shaving and will subside as the swelling continues to settle over the next few weeks. But even these early results demonstrate that a strong and well-defined jawline, neck, and jowl region is achievable without a patient looking overdone in any way!
