Eylid Surgery - Case 3
Surgeon : Kevin Cross
This 66-year-old man felt tired and wanted to look more youthful, but did not want to lose his masculine features. He had significant hooding over his eyes that would have traditionally been treated with a brow lift. With the position of his hairline, however, it was impossible to hide the browlift incisions in his hair. To get around this, Dr. Cross performed a correction of his hooding through the same upper eyelid incision that he used to get rid of his excess upper eyelid skin. Dr. Cross also removed the bags from under the patient's eyes through a combination of two procedures. First, excess puffy fat was removed from the lower eyelid area. Then, rather than discard that fat, Dr. Cross repositioned it to fill in the sunken area between his eyes and his cheeks. Now the transition zone between the cheeks and eyelids looks more full and more youthful, without looking unnatural.
